About Us
People cycle for many reasons. Seasoned racers thrive on competition and pushing their bodies to new heights, while other hobbyists may simply love the freedom and connection with nature during a quick escape from the daily grind. Yet all cyclists tend to have one thing in common: they’re passionate about community. At Local Bike Club, we aim to build that community and support each individual passion, no matter where it originates.
LBC Founders Jason Suarez and Tysen Manuel are longtime friends, teammates, and bike enthusiasts. They first connected through mountain biking some 20 years ago, have raced together since and are eager to share their passion and ethic with fellow cyclists around the country.
Jason Suarez
A highly regarded mechanic, fitter, bike shop operator and racer, Jason Suarez brings 25 years of cycling experience to the helm of Local Bike Club. After guiding hundreds of cyclists in Phoenix, Arizona with proper bike maintenance, bike setup, fit and equipment, Jason is eager to share his expertise and passion with riders nationwide through virtual channels.
Jason is a certified bike fitter and Bosch E-bike certified. He has seen it all and fixed it all. In addition to his bike maintenance and fit expertise, Jason has organized and directed race teams within the cycling and motorcycling communities. This includes implementing and strategizing race tactics, testing equipment and ensuring all team bikes are race ready. He has competed himself since 1996, racking up numerous wins in road and mountain bike races, including 8th place at the 24-hour Solo World Championship (2004).
In 2011, Jason and his wife, Tisha, co-founded the Winded Foundation, a nonprofit that raises funds for asthma education and spreads awareness of asthma through exercise and educational programs.
